ENTOMBED: Opera Bound!
December 21, 2001Sweden's ENTOMBED are currently working on songs that they will be performing during a string of performances at the Royal Opera Hall in Stockholm in February as part of a show called Unreal Estate, with the band doing a 45-minute set of brand new, specially-composed original material while surrounded by 30 ballet dancers and a 10-year-old kid. As previously reported, ENTOMBED's set will reportedly be the third and final set of the overall show, and it will call for two choreographers, Bogdan Szyber and Carina Reich, to get the ballet dancers performing around the band. In other news, ENTOMBED performed a 30-minute set at Nalen in Stockholm on Sunday, December 16th that was filmed for a national TV broadcast at a later date. Other artists that appeared at the gig included PETTER, WEEPING WILLOWS and ROBERT JOHNSSON AND THE PUNCHDRUNKS. Also on the ENTOMBED front, the band will perform on Saturday, February 9th at the Popstad festival in Skelleftea, Sweden, with the whole event due to be broadcast on the radio via www.sr.se/p3. Also appearing on the same night will be CULT OF LUNA and VINTERSORG.
